This colourful summer towel was designed and woven by Mungo, a team of artisanal master weavers based in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa.
Consisting of 100% organic cotton, this compact and lightweight, flat-weave towel with its bright and fun colours was made for summers at the beach. Each towel is individually handled and woven on an antique 100-year-old loom to produce a gorgeous and versatile product that will stand the test of time.This versatile towel is highly absorbent and quick drying. It can be used as a bath, pool, or beach towel, or even as a picnic blanket!
From design to completion, the journey of each Mungo product passes through the hands of a highly-skilled team of weavers, inspectors, and seamstresses, ensuring that every single product is quality-controlled and expertly finished. Committed to ethical trading, Mungo sources only the highest quality natural fibres and is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard.
Mungo’s mission is to manufacture unique and beautiful products while simultaneously providing sustainable opportunities for the labour market and care for the natural environment. To this end, each year a portion of Mungo’s annual turnover goes towards projects and initiatives that seek to benefit and empower the Plettenberg Bay area.
