Rudraksha beads are made from the seeds of the fruit of an evergreen tree indigenous to the Himalayas. Our beads are sustainably harvested, fairly traded, and ethically produced. Rudraksha beads have their roots in Hindu mythology and have been used and worn in India as prayer beads for millennia. The beads have a special vibration that calms the central nervous system and quietens the mind, facilitating mindfulness and prayer.
Your aquamarine gemstones were cut in Jaipur, whose rich stone-cutting tradition goes back to the 18th century, when the founder of the city, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, invited the best jewelers and stone-cutters from across India to Jaipur to embellish the new metropolis. Jaipur’s gemstone and jewelry-making industries remain world-renowned today. Aquamarine, a stone of empowerment, is linked to open communication and emotional intelligence. Channeling the coolness and purity of the ocean, it has a soothing and cleansing effect, quietening the mind, inspiring truth, and clarifying perception.
