Your pouch was made in Jaipur, the Pink City, from carefully selected elements. The outer fabric is a natural beige linen with delicately threaded emerald green, turquoise, and navy blue stripes. Linen has been a hugely popular material in India for thousands of years and is mentioned throughout ancient holy books such as the Vedas, the Puranas, and the Upanishads, where its softness, beauty, and holiness are repeatedly praised.
The crisp white or green paisley printed inner-lining of your pouch, chosen for its striking contrast with the outer fabric, is repurposed fabric from a kantha gudri quilt. Kantha gudri quilts are hand-stitched together by women in the eastern part of India, traditionally using old saris and discarded clothing scraps. Your pouch has been embellished with a handmade silk tassel and a rainbow moonstone bead. Rainbow moonstone is a deeply spiritual stone that strengthens natural intuition. It protects us against negative energies, promoting harmony, balance, and stability. Channeling the magical iridescence of a rainbow, the stone is cleaning, inspiring, and restorative.
