Jaipur, known as the Pink City, has a rich stone-cutting tradition that goes back to the 18th century, when the founder of the city, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, invited the best jewelers and stone-cutters from across India to Jaipur to embellish the new metropolis. Today, the city’s gemstone and jewelry-making industries remain world-renowned.
Lapis lazuli is an ancient stone of protection and peace, promoting harmony and introspection. It allows us to be more self-aware and to express ourselves in a way that reveals our inner truth. Peach moonstone is a deeply healing stone, used to soothe persistent worrying and anxiety and combat inner emotional turmoil. It is believed to be a woman’s stone, symbolic of fertility and love. Rudraksha beads have their roots in Hindu mythology and have been used and worn in India as prayer beads for millennia. The beads have a special vibration that calms the central nervous system and quietens the mind, facilitating mindfulness and prayer.
